How brands can make it in Social Media Marketing

With the proliferation of social media, solely someone who has buried his head within the sand wouldn't be aware of it and on that. Ranging from the age of about ten urban children is on a smartphone and a few quite social media platform. So, there's a giant demographic, target group for numerous marketers from soft drinks to attire, mobile phones to home items viz. floor cleaners, salon services to financial services will be on some social platform or the opposite.
10-year olds to 80-year olds, everyone seems to be posting photos, making new friends, showing off, obtaining consoled, obtaining congratulated, wishing many folks Happy Birthday, Happy anniversary and what not. In my entire life, I actually have never wished so many folks happy birthday as I have most likely done in the last year alone.
So why is social media so addictive and has become a part of one’s life? Most so it's sort of a natural extension of our personalities.
In my opinion, it helps people express themselves to best-known and fully unknown people whereas being in the safety of their homes/offices. There’s no real person-to-person connect. They can be who they need to be and live in an illusion world of one’s own making.
It helps balance the multifarious personalities that we all have which has so far not found an expression. Typically I feel a touch of schizophrenia lurks in all of us, it's simply that it's kept well-hidden as earlier there was no outlet for these expressions.
Just to induce the perspective, let us check out some symptoms of schizophrenia…
– Delusions – the patient displays false beliefs, which might take several forms, like delusions of persecution, or delusions of grandeur. They may feel others are attempting to regulate them remotely. Or, they may assume they have extraordinary powers and skills.
– Hallucinations – hearing voices is much more common than seeing, feeling, tasting, or smelling things that aren’t there. However, people with schizophrenia might expertise a large range of hallucinations.
– Thought disorder – the person could jump from one subject to a different for no logical reason. The speaker could also be hard to follow or erratic.
If you think about it, don’t you're thinking that all people suffer from this in some kind or the other on social media? Perfectly calm individuals choose fights with strangers on topics like politics, religion, food, movies. Intolerance is here too. A delusion of grandeur when one’s vacation photos or selfie has been liked four hundred times. Come on, let’s admit it, it's terribly satisfying for the ego indeed. Persecution complex once individuals disagree with you on an expressed statement or opinion.
Social media truly helps us do exactly this. Exhibit our multiple personalities albeit on totally different social platforms.

So, a quick look at how social helps you express:

– Facebook… how cool I’m
– Twitter….how clever
– LinkedIn …how serious… (Consequential)
– Instagram…… how artistic
– YouTube….how demonstrative
– Pinterest…how multifarious
So, who are we actually then?
Do we even know? There’s a continuous need (pressure) to project something that we don't seem to be. Are we really as cool, flippant and sarcastic as what we seem on our numerous social handles? Are we even that smart looking? The most dangerous trend of social media is seeing things very totally different light from what they actually are.
So, who are we actually then?
Do we even know? There’s a continuous need (pressure) to project something that we don't seem to be. Are we really as cool, flippant, and sarcastic as what we seem on our numerous social handles? Are we even that smart looking? The most dangerous trend of social media is seeing things totally different light from what they actually are.

Is there an answer in sight? Where is all this heading? I suppose there's a natural evolution for everything. The medium will mature. Individuals will mature. As of now, in the present times, we need to require most of the content on social media as amusement. You see a movie. You will fall crazy with a character played by Clooney, Pitt or Khan. However somewhere you know it's simply a personality; it's just a story…. And it’s not real.

Similarly, in social media, you're only enjoying a role.

It is not real folks. Keep in mind that.

Now comes to the crucial question.
How can brands build the most of all this? How can marketers make the most of this role-playing? This is the most effective time for a marketer. After all, consumption is connected very closely to what image we want to portray. Since each medium is so well defined it is simple for marketers to pitch to a narrower audience. Yes, mass product Facebook, niche Instagram, even additional niche, Twitter. Each brand features a personality and it's that much easier to peg the audience to a potential product or service.

You are the content, creating content for yourself, for friends and the world at massive. Its sort of a gigantic reality show that we tend to are unlikely to induce fed up of in the near future. As long as there are content advertisers will follow.
